Shawn Colvin stopped the music scene in its tracks when she took home the GRAMMY Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album for her 1989 debut, Steady On. In the 30 years since, Shawn has created a remarkable canon of work, released thirteen albums, won two more GRAMMY Awards, written a critically acclaimed memoir, maintained a non-stop national and international touring schedule, and appeared on countless television and radio programs.
Shawn was recently inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame, alongside legendary artists and Sunset Center mainstays Lyle Lovett and Buddy Guy. In a moving induction speech, Jackson Browne praised her as "ineffable"that which is impossible to express in wordsand proclaimed, "Not many writers are able to do what Shawn does. It's a very special way of relating what really matters. It takes an original to get our attention. Shawn is utterly original in her singing, and original in what she speaks about in her songs."
KT Tunstall took the music scene by storm in 2004 with her multi-platinum debut album, "Eye to the Telescope," featuring global hits like "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" and "Suddenly I See." KT is known as both a skilled singer-songwriter and a captivating live performer, balancing the introspection of Folk with the sharper edges of Rock & Roll.
Recently, the GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter released a trilogy of records, each with a specific concept: soul, body, and mind. KIN (2016) explores the soul, WAX (2018) the body, and the latest release, NUT (2022), the mind.
