The Power of Small Film Screening

The Power of Small Film Screening

About the Movie

The Power of Small is an inspiring 40-minute documentary film created by award-winning director TC Johnstone (“Rising from Ashes”) that tells the story of how small acts of kindness can meaningfully change lives.  It recently debuted and won Best Documentary—Featurette at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

The movie grew from Terri Bullock’s social experiment, in which she gifted fifty people each with a substantial amount of money, requiring only that they use the money to promote kindness.  The film features six of the inspirational stories that resulted.

About Rick Bragdon

Rick met Terri in graduate school and is one of the fifty people who received her “kindness” money—$30,000!  The challenges he faced deciding how to spend this money wisely and, in the process, learning to be kind, changed his life.  Rick's story is one of six such stories featured in The Power of Small.

He is a branding consultant, piano player, and golfer who moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Pacific Grove in 2014.  His kindness episode in the movie portrays a seemingly chance conversation with his haircutter and the plot they hatched to help a student—and music savant—at Pacific Grove High School.

Rick will be personally hosting this film screening and will share his experience live!
