Now it’s time to truly unWINEd! For a storybook afternoon, visit Folktale Winery for exceptional wines and a seasonal menu that features a variety of locally-sourced ingredients. The winery also has a stunning outdoor patio, surrounded by lush vineyards, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch. If you'd like to make an afternoon of wine tasting, visit Carmel Valley Village for a walkable experience from one tasting room to the next. Twisted Roots produces delicious estate-grown wines with a fantastic back patio or choose to sip wine in the adobe style tasting room reminiscent of early California Mission architecture at nearby Georis Winery.
Evening

Afternoon
To soak in more beautiful Carmel Valley views today, take a hike at Garland Ranch Regional Park. Breathtaking views lie around every corner of this 4,462-acre park, with trails varying from easy to strenuous. Notable features at Garland Ranch Regional Park include the Carmel River, Garzas Creek, a redwood canyon and a charming waterfall. Historic buildings dot Garland Ranch Regional Park, allowing visitors to experience Carmel Valley as it once was.

Visit the Carmel Valley History Center to learn about local geology, indigenous peoples, early settlers, ranching and much more. Visitors will enjoy touching a coyote or grizzly bear pelt, sitting on an authentic western saddle and viewing the topographical map of the area with outlines of the original Spanish land grants. High quality exhibits featuring iconic photographs, artifacts, and memorabilia bring the Valley’s history to life.
Evening
