Life was different at the turn of the last century and the Agricultural and Rural Life Museum in King City's San Lorenzo Park is a walk back in time.
See first-hand how students learned in a one-room schoolhouse, complete with students' desks and slates for writing, and teacher's tools for discipline. Visit a historic train depot and imagine what it was like to wait for a train 100 years ago. The blacksmith is still at work and the farmhouse gives visitors a view into how people lived one hundred years ago. Explore antique mining and farming equipment, including giant tractors, as well as a tack shop, country store and antique printing press.
Explore the Exhibit Barn Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm. Visit the Spreckels House, Schoolhouse, Train Depot and Olson Blacksmith Shop on Fridays from noon to 4 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 4 pm. There is no fee to visit the museum.
