The exhibits in the Carmel Valley History Center Museum are designed to entertain and educate both young and old alike. Just 20 minutes from Carmel-by-the-Sea, the museum is located next to the Community Park in Carmel Valley Village.
Learn about local geology, indigenous peoples, early settlers, ranching and much more. Children will enjoy touching a coyote or grizzly bear pelt or sitting on an authentic western saddle. Adults can view a topographical map of the area with outlines of the original Spanish land grants. High quality exhibits featuring iconic photographs, artifacts, and memorabilia bring the Valley’s history to life.
The History Center Museum is kid-friendly and staffed by knowledgeable docents who are on duty Saturdays from 1-4 and Sundays from 11-2. Admission is free.
